 "William Mitchell and Joseph Yates of Timsbury, coalminers, convicted of cutting down and destroying the underwood in a coppice at Priston belonging to William Davie, Esquire were sentenced to three months hard labour at Shepton Bridewell and to be thrice publicly whipped through the town during their confinement.
