I noticed the EU have put up a large amount of money for a reenactment of the battle of Solferino as part of the celebrations to mark the anniversary of the founding of the red cross. This is a particularly interesting period of history and so I will do a few postings to tempt maybe some American Civil War reenactors to consider doing French infantry of this period.
