Buddy Holly day today. I first discovered him via my Uncle Graham and Auntie Jayne who had an 8 track greatest hits in their car.
Battle of the Bands 1978
In 78 we (the Bad Detectives) did a battle of the bands at the Hexagon Suite which was Frome's disco night spot. We had to have a publicity photograph which we did here. The other bands were disco bands and we came last. Ivan had a homemade bass amp which exploded during the set. It was made of chipboard and didn't really look like an amp. Henry broke a load of strings. It was a frenzied performance.
