Watching the film Pandaemonium yesterday and Flver fishing was depicted. My Granny Newman used to cook elvers. Baby eels. I think someone brought them in to work - a bucket load of them and she would cook them. They looked like spaghetti with two black dots that were eyes. I am a fussy eater so I didn't partake but remember it. I think they were from the Severn.
