One thing there is a lot of in Somerset and Wiltshire is ancient hillforts. One that is of particular interest is Cadbury Castle near Yeovil. Associated with King Arthur. List of hillforts in Somerset here. Cadbury is a great place to visit as are hill forts in general. Article on Cadbury.
