Our Grandson is coming down. So a steam experience is in order. The Norton station aren't running any steam the weekend they are down so we checked out the East Somerset Railway at Cranmore. Only 9 miles away. I volunteered there in the 70s as a teen. Wire brushing engines and then off to the pub and back sleeping in the carriages. A fun weekend. It was started by wildlife artist David Shepherd who used to exhibit his paintings there. Between Frome and Shepton Mallet. Wiki.
