Another useful garment worn by punks was the donkey jacket. I think I got mine from an army surplus shop. You could get them with plastic sewn on the shoulders but I didn't like those types. Too plebian. I think Hugh Cornwell of the Stranglers wore one and the singer of the Cortinas did too.
