It is approaching 40 years since we heard from Adam Ant. We sent him a record and he sent us this letter. We eventually had a phone call from him (we actually got a phone installed after a request from his P.A. Theresa) and eventually got to meet him and Marco up in London. We went to his office and then took a black cab to a swanky burger place in Notting Hill. Our meeting was interrupted by children asking Adam for his autograph. He was interested in signing us for his Antmusic publishing but it didn't happen in the end. He had a number 1 for Goody Two Shoes and then went to the US so we lost touch but we still have a folder of letters from him with his advice and ideas as a souvenir.
Funnily enough we had a briefcase of photos and so forth with us and when we finished the meeting we went to a phone box to ring up our lift and left the briefcase by accident in the phone box. We realised our mistake and went back for it and there had occurred a major incident as the transport police thought it might be a bomb and we had to do a fair bit of explaining. We were hicks from the sticks.
