Animal Farm (1954). George Orwell. HD Cartoon

Animal Farm is a 1954 British-American animated drama and propaganda film commissioned by the American Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). It was directed by both John Halas and Joy Batchelor, and produced by Halas and Batchelor, based on the 1945 novel of the same name by George Orwell.

A successful farmyard revolution by the resident animals vs. the farmer goes horribly wrong as the victors create a new tyranny among themselves.

"In the First Place" by the Remo Four, 1968

Video's made of parts of the Wonderwall movie

In 1998, 30 years after the film's release, and with Massot an established film director, he decided to restore and re-release his first film. Harrison's search for master recordings turned up a lyrical song, "In the First Place" by the Remo Four, which he had not submitted the first time around, believing Massot wanted only instrumental music. "In the First Place" was released as a single in 1999. Harrison is believed to have not only produced it, but also sung and played on it, although he asked to be credited only as producer. Massot was happy to include the song in the restored film, which got a distribution deal.

Wonderwall (film) 1968

Wonderwall is a 1968 British psychedelic film directed by Joe Massot (in his feature directorial debut) and starring Jack MacGowran, Jane Birkin, Irene Handl, Richard Wattis and Iain Quarrier, with a cameo by Dutch collective the Fool, who were also set designers for the film.[1] The screenplay was by G. Cain from a story by Gérard Brach. The soundtrack was composed by George Harrison and released as Wonderwall Music.

The Wicker Man (soundtrack) - Wikipedia

The soundtrack was unavailable until a 1998 release on Trunk Records of a mono album dubbed from the music and effects tapes at Pinewood, from the shorter original cut of the film (hence missing the song "Gently Johnny").[6] It was not until 2002 that Silva Screen Records released a stereo version using cues from the tape held by Gary Carpenter, mixed with recordings from the first Trunk Records release. This release includes "Gently Johnny" and the missing lines from "Willow's Song".[7]

The Just Brothers - Sliced Tomatoes (1998)

The Just Brothers were the American musical duo of the brothers Jimmy and Frank Bryant and several session musicians. Their song "Sliced Tomatoes" was a dancefloor hit in 1972, and was sampled in Fatboy Slim's "The Rockafeller Skank." Living and recording in Detroit, their huge Northern Soul anthem, "Sliced Tomatoes" was almost an accidental throw away B side instrumental. I was the first DJ to ever play this record. When I started at Blackpool Mecca in late 1971, a very very young Tony Rounce picked up the single on Music Merchant and brought it up to me to play at The Mecca. At first everyone was sceptical, because it was quite different to the usual Northern Soul sound, and almost broke the norm, but then it went on to become such an anthem. Jimmy Bryant died many years ago, but Frank and A.J. very accurately recreated their classic for us for our award winning documentary, "The Strange World Of Northern Soul".

Olivia Newton John Xanadu Original Version Remastered HD (1980)

Susan didn't know this song so I said I would post it.

Xanadu is a 1980 American musical fantasy film written by Richard Christian Danus and Marc Reid Rubel and directed by Robert Greenwald. Starring Olivia Newton-John along with Michael Beck and Gene Kelly in his final film role, the film features music by Newton-John, Electric Light Orchestra, Cliff Richard and the Tubes. The title refers to the nightclub in the film, which takes its name from Xanadu, the summer capital of Kublai Khan's Yuan dynasty in China. The city itself appears in the 1816 poem Kubla Khan by Samuel Taylor Coleridge, which is quoted by Newton-John's character in the film.

Chuck Berry Performs "You Can't Catch Me" in 1956's "Rock, Rock, Rock!"

You Can't Catch Me - Wikipedia

I bought a brand new airmobile
It custom made, it 'twas a Flight DeVille
Pow'ful motor and some hideaway wings
Push in on the button and you will hear her sing
Now you can't catch me, baby you can't catch me
'Cause if you get too close, you know I'm gone like a cool breeze
New Jersey Turnpike in the wee wee hours
I was rolling slowly 'cause of drizzlin' showers
Here come a flat-top, he was movin' up with me
Then come wavin' goodbye, in a little, old suped-up Jitney
I put my foot in my tank and I begin to roll
Moanin' sirens, 'twas the state patrol
So I let out my wings and then I blew my horn
Bye-bye New Jersey I've become airborne

The song's lyrics describe racing a souped-up "air-mobile" down the New Jersey Turnpike, then unfolding its wings and taking off.[2] At the time, the Aerocar designed and built by Molt Taylor was nearing Civil Aviation Authority approval for mass production as a flying car with detachable folding wings.[3]

HEARTBREAKERS/MAX'S JULY 1976 - YouTube

From the wiki. The first gigs with the new lineup took place on July 23 and 24, 1976 at Max's Kansas City and earned rave reviews. The band continued to gig regularly in New York City throughout the summer and fall, and played several shows in Boston in September. Despite Childers' efforts and a reputation as a must-see live act, no recording contract was forthcoming, a situation that became increasingly frustrating. Lure wrote that "the kind of deals being offered were laughable, sleazy 50-50 splits that the bands could never, ever hope to profit from."[4] Although the band regularly drew packed crowds at Max's and other venues, by this point Thunders, Nolan, and Lure were heroin addicts (Rath preferred methamphetamine), so money was tight.

It was Billy Rath's first show. Nancy Spungen was in attendance and wrote a review of the show which appeared in The New York Rocker in August '76. You can read that review here... http://lovekillsblog.blogspot.com/201...
