I am not mad on churches but I do like this one - an Anglo-Saxon church at Bradford-on-Avon. From at least the 10th century it laid undiscovered, obscured by other buildings until the 19thc. Bradford-on-Avon is worth a day trip - the Tithe Barn is great too.
