Battle of the Beanfield 40th

I remember this event. We weren't there vur we knew someone who was and was arrested. We were in my parents' garden and my Mum who was a JP knew that something was going on and tuned into the police radio. Lots of vans full of police were going past.

The Battle of the Beanfield took place on 1st June 1985, when Wiltshire Police prevented The Peace Convoy, a convoy of several hundred New Age travelers, from setting up the 1985 Stonehenge Free Festival in Wiltshire.
