William Walter Wheatley (1811-1885)He painted village scenes, country houses, and old inns of Somerset and produced over 1500 views of churches and aspects of their interior

The Somerset Millenium book has some great images in it - I particularly like this artist - see below for Frome and the cover image. These are all local villages.
