Lenoir is a highly underrated bluesman - but he had a great career on independent labels like JOB and also on Chess was still being an avant-garde and experimental figure in the blues. Not frightened of dealing with political issues JB received a visit from the 'Men in Black' about some of his critical of the government blues.
