CAT STEVENS - Wild World 1971
Susan likes Cat Stevens. I am not so keen - I remember school assembly having to listen to 'Morning Has Broken' and not liking it.

Suzi Quatro - The Wild One 1974
Did you see that recent documentary about Suzi Quatro? Pretty good. She was not wild in real life if I got that right. Linking this post to one a bit further down Moskow (the Trowbridge band) supported her at the Locarno. There now you know.

Moskow Man from U.N.C.L.E. 1978
This was a Trowbridge band from the late 70s. Met them when they came to the punk nights at the Hexagon Frome. They had a record out in about 78 and they got signed to Rialto. They could have been big. Saw them a couple of times but they didn't really have an audience. They got asked to play the Blitz club by Rusty Egan but their manager turned it down.

The Count Bishops: Speedball ep 1975
Van Morrison and The Chieftains "My Lagan love" 1988
I was going to post the Dusty version but I opted for this instead. Historical song from the Belfast area.
Where Lagan streams sing lullabies There blows a lily fair. The twilight gleam is in her eye, The night is on her hair. And like a lovesick lenashee She hath my heart in thrall. No life have I, no liberty, For love is Lord of all. And often when the beetles horn Has lulled the eve to sleep, I'll steal into her sheiling lorn And through the doorway creep. There on the cricket's singing stone, She makes the bogwood fire And sings in sweet and undertone, The song of hearts desire.
BARRETT STRONG - Oh I Apologize [Anna 1111] 1959
I think this was a B-side to 'Money (That's What I want)' but I am not sure. Anyway I really like it - mainly 2 chords. Strong is mainly known for his compositions these days. Barrett Strong bio
