I worked there as did many people in Frome. My Dad worked there so I experienced it as a child going to the kids' Christmas Party or the swimming club. My Dad played table-tennis there and eventually started a social club with a bar and a pleasant ambience of chairs and a jukebox .Ralphadeus: The Terraplanes at the Caxton Club Frome 1983 We were both proof readers. My Uncle Arthur was a reader too so there were 3 of us in the department but that wasn't unusual at the time.
