I am a sad old person as I sent an email to Talking Pictures TV requesting the 1969 film Alfred the Great. They sent me a nice standard reply which included this

"I will add your suggestions to my list of films and series to research and locate rights holders and see if it’s possible to negotiate a licence, it’s quite a complicated process - but we acquire new films and series every month, so never say never! Some of the films we have managed to licence we never thought would ever come to light, but sadly we can’t just play ones we'd like to play, if you see what I mean. Also please remember some films or TV series sadly may no longer exist."
So anyway what film would you request?
