(a bass player) made many hits in the 70s but 2 hits stand out as being made by the bass playing. One was Walk on the Wild side Lou Reed and this one which similarly features double tracked bass and little else. I didn't like it at the time but now I appreciate it. It was on the That'll be the Day soundtrack double album but it seemed incongruous to me who wanted rock'n'roll which it ain't although it namechecks some like Summertime Blues.
