When I started work at 17 I was an apprentice which involved going for blocks of about 4 weeks at a time to printing college in Bristol. We stayed in digs with other students. This was in 77 so I was quite lucky of being around for punk gigs. I used to go out every night either with a fellow punk Steve from Trowbridge or Bristol based ex schoolmate Yann. We did all sorts of clubs, cinema and so forth. On one of these nights I met Susan who had come to Bristol for a gig. Eventually we (apprentices) chose to commute to Bristol in a taxi - there were 4 of us from Frome. I do remember it fondly though I didn't do very well as a student!
