Lazy Lester I Hear You Knockin'

 Wiki

Compilation that is pretty damn good if you like blues. Excello singles.

The Ox The Who

Lovely instrumental in the vein of Link Wray.

Aurora kits

When I was a child my mother worked for the U.K. distributor of the Aurora kit range. So we were given a lot of kits and sets that had been damaged. 1968 catalogue here

Marx Black Knight

12 inch high figure from the 60s. I had one. Susan thinks I was spoilt as a kid which I probably was; my folks bought me nice toys. I don't still have it though these pics are taken from the web.

The Foggy Dew - Sinéad O’Connor & The Chieftains, 1995

Suzi Quatro Can the Can video 1973

Pack Horse Frome

Pack Horse Frome. Boarded up. We used to practice above there. On Sundays they did roast dinners which we ate. Had Little Richard on the jukebox. Had some fun times there. We used to hang out at the lounge bar which was known as the Monk's retreat as I think a tunnel connected it to the nearby church. We used to be quite secluded there.

David Johansen Group - "Frenchette" Live 1980

David Johansen self titled 1st solo album 1978

This is a really good album. Bought it at the time and loved it. Every track is ace.

Looking for a Kiss New York Dolls 1973

Sinead O'Connor RIP

Sad to hear this. 56 years old. BBC

See her video for My Special One 1991.

We bought this record. Soppy gits. If you want something less sentimental we also bought this one.

Wendell Austin LSD made a wreck of me (1968)

Another Ichiban classic heard on Boss Radio 66. Country style song.

Blues Brothers (1980)

Another 50p bargain. We saw this at the cinema when it came out in 1980. Never heard of the Blues Brothers but the magazine Blues Unlimited had said John Lee Hooker was in it so we went but there was no one there. Big flop. But when it came out on VHS  rental it got really really popular so that by the time it came out on sell-through it was a phenomena. Simply Thai Midsomer Norton

New restaurant on the High Street. Good luck. Website

The Cook, the Thief, his Wife and her Lover

Today's bargain. A film from 1989. Susan and I were Greenaway fans and went to a special screening of this with the Director in Bristol. Susan was pregnant and had to rush outside to throw up which went down well with the other punters. They loved it. Trailer

King of the Rumbling Spires Tyrannosaurus Rex 1969

Hear it here. Great song to be sure.

Love this era stuff. Didn't like it at the time of course it is something Susan introduced me to.

Light all the fires,
It's the King of the Rumbling Spires,
Light all the fires,
It's the King and he's coming home.

Rich's Cider

Celia went to Cheddar and brought us back some Rich's cider in this cool bag. The cider won't last long as we like it a lot but the bag will live on.
