 This is a good selection of the brilliant band. So sad that I will never see them now but of course the music lives on.

 Photographed in 1849. Bath city walls wiki. In 1685 Monmouth's army approached the city walls which were manned by the Somerset Militia but having no heavy artillery couldn't lay siege. A Herald summoned the city 'in bravado' and was promptly shot dead.

60 years ago Stuart Sutcliffe dies

 On the subject of 60th anniversary events for the Beatles this one is a sad one. Original bass player Stuart Sutcliffe was living in Hamburg. He was 21.
