Psych-Out is a 1968 American psychedelic film about hippies, psychedelic music and recreational drugs starring Susan Strasberg, Jack Nicholson (the film's leading man despite being billed under supporting player Dean Stockwell), Bruce Dern, Adam Roarke, and Max Julien. It was produced and released by American International Pictures. The film was directed by Richard Rush, and the cinematographer was László Kovács. The bands Strawberry Alarm Clock and The Seeds can be seen playing within the music and dance scenes throughout the film.

Walkin' on the Sun - Wikipedia Jo Whiley just played it and I hadn't heard it for ages. It was quite a big hit I think.
The Bold Grenadier (One Morning in May) - Far from the Madding Crowd (1967) Dir. John Schlesinger
Often known as The Grenadier and the Lady, this a popular song in the West Country. H.E.D. Hammond collected five variants in Somerset and Dorset between 1905–7 including one from W. Barlett at Wimborne, and in 1950 Peter Kennedy recorded Walter Haynes singing it in the bar of the Ilchester Arms at Abbotsbury. The song was also popular in other parts of the country and frequently turns up in America. It is a favourite with the Holme Valley Beagles in South Yorkshire where it’s called Where the Watter Rattles and George Dunn sang it in the Midlands under the title The Nightingale Sings.

Divine (October 19, 1945 -- March 7, 1988), also known as Harris Glenn Milstead, was an American actor, singer and drag queen. A character actor who often performed female roles in both cinema and theater, Divine also adopted a female drag persona in his musical performances, leading People magazine to describe him as the "Drag Queen of the Century". He was often associated with independent filmmaker John Waters and starred in ten of Waters's films, usually in a leading role. Concurrent with his acting career, he also had a successful career as a disco singer during the 1980s, at one point being described as "the most successful and in-demand disco performer in the world."
