Maria Montessori Official trailer (2024)

Here

Starring Jasmine Trinca in the title role, the captivating debut from writer/director Léa Todorov tells the story of the famed Italian physician and educator who invented a teaching method that is still being used today in 35,000 schools bearing her name across the globe. At the turn of the 20th century, Lili d’Alengy (Leïla Bekhti. 'All Your Faces'), a famous Parisian courtesan and darling of the Parisian cabaret scene has a shameful secret – a daughter with a disability, Tina, whom she must hide to protect her career. Unwilling and unable to care for Tina, Lili decides to leave Paris for Rome. In Rome, Lili seeks help from Maria Montessori (Jasmine Trinca, 'Fortunata'), a doctor who is developing a teaching method for children with learning difficulties. But Maria also has a secret – a child born out of wedlock, and soon she will be forced to choose between her career and her child. Together, the two women will help each other to find their place in the world and establish a new vision of education.

Little Richard All around the world 1958

They had this on the Pack Horse jukebox. Susan used to put it on. B-side of the Girl Can't Help it. The Pack Horse was a bit of a refuge for us away from the hustle and bustle of the town centre. People knew they could find us in the back bar. When it closed we had a big session that ended up with us drinking all sorts of leftovers. We practiced there (upstairs where we stored the gear too) and used to have a roast dinner on Sundays so we were regulars. Towards the end they used to ask us what we were drinking and go to the shops and buy it. I think the brewery had stopped delivering. Now closed possibly becoming offices.
