Susan spotted this anniversary. Lidls first U.K. shop opened in 1994. I think our family's first experience with the store came when Susan's parents moved near the newly opened Frome branch. They would visit us with treats bought from there and they were very enthusiastic about the shop. Now we live near one ourselves. I understand they offer staff decent wages.
