On the 13 or 12 October 1961 Paul then John had their hair restyled into the famous moptop. They were in Paris on a trip to celebrate John's 21st. Jürgen Vollmer did the deed and was their inspiration. Gone were the rocker quiffs and in was a more Parisian beatnik style.
