1985 first reenactment as a participant

 

Photo Mark Godwin. This is Glastonbury. The Tor in the distance. The 300th anniversary of the Monmouth Rebellion. Susan and daughter Bea were there. We had borrowed kit. It was great fun.How I got involved was I was canvassing for the Labour party and I knocked up a bloke who had some armour in the  window so I chatted to him about it and he said come around and I did. He had a pea green Volkswagen van and we went down to Glastonbury.
