The harmonica fronted sound that we started out with was pretty disastrous. I know that now but at the time I believed it be original and worth doing. I have had some positive comments for the set up since then. Unbeknownst to us
Yo La Tengo were doing a cover of it and they played it at CBgBs in 1985. Journalist Byron Coley had made a tape for the band and included it. In about 2003 we actually saw them perform it at a theatre in Basingstoke. Georgia sang and Ira played harp. Was very moving. But in the whole it turned out to a bad move. We eventually gave up. John Peel didn't like it but we still went ahead and put a single out.
