I quite fancy watching some of these Russian films - supposedly a Soviet Bloc take on the Western usually taking place in the Russian Revolution or Civil War period and dealing with bandits. The most famous is
'The White Sun of the Desert' which was apparently influenced by
Stagecoach and
High Noon.
Watch it here. Apparently a cult film in Russia it has created many catchphrases and has been traditionally watched by cosmonauts before going into space.
