This is a great book and good value for 15 quid. The story of the General Strike locally but also a look at the area in those times. Well illustrtaed and a brilliant read - the story of Albert Parfitt who cycled to London to demonstrate the Guss and Crook being a favourite.

 We entered a battle of the bands and the rules were you had to have a publicity photo so we asked ex printer Ian Mackay to do some. We had many band names then - about 1 a week. Eventually the Bad Detectives.
